Established in 1758, the town of Leesburg, Virginia is one of the most historic destinations in Northern Virginia.

Originally established along a 60-acre tract surrounding Nicholas Minor’s tavern, Leesburg, Virginia was originally known as Georgetown, but was later renamed in honor of Thomas Lee, the father of Francis Lightfoot Lee and great uncle to Civil War General Robert E. Lee.

The heart of Leesburg, Virginia lies in its historic downtown, which is centered around a park-like court square containing a classical courthouse built in the late 1800s and well-preserved shops and townhomes that maintain the historic character of the community.

Today, Leesburg, Virginia maintains much of its nostalgic, small-town character while also incorporating many modern conveniences, including local coffee shops and retail establishments.
