A collaboration between residential architecture firm Studio 360 and award-winning custom home builders BOWA, this beautiful Colonial style home underwent a complete transformation to modernize the interiors and exteriors, while also reflecting the rich history and heritage of Virginia Hunt Country.

Originally build in 1970, the home’s exterior leverages a combination of stone and board and batten to suggest a series of additions over time. Inside, a large open concept kitchen maximizes views to the rear yard, while two home offices and two additional bedrooms were designed to accommodate the practical needs of modern family living.

Unique elements of the renovation include the repurposing of an existing secondary stairway to the second floor while exposing brick at the chimney, as well as mimicking the stonework found in other vernacular applications throughout neighboring farms throughout the region.
